We decided to add an ensuite as there was already some plumbing there. We added a wall with a cavity slider door to save space. We needed to add a false wall (where the casement window is) to cover the metrebox and electricals from the old hot water system and below the stair cavity we are creating a storage cupboard/hanging space.
Here is the plaster or drywall (if you are from America reading this). The cornice has since gone in and it was all sanded down today ready for the architraves (wet seal and painting to follow). You can see the old style garage doors which we are going to try and salvage, hopefully once painted they will come up a treat.
I am sorry to say there is no pretty finished picture to show you, as we are still under construction. Typically though, I have already sorted out how the room will look and purchased quite a few bits and pieces which I will share in another post, maybe even try and do a mood board. One thing I am struggling with though, is finding nice tiles at a reasonable price for the ensuite. If only AM brought some Ann Sacks tiles back from America for me, ha! I have decided to do white subway tiles on the walls but am still searching for something for the floor.
Wow, it has taken forever to do this post, I'm so out of practise.... Here are a couple of inspiration shots to finish off with. Till next time.....

So great to see you again! What a fabulous big space. The sight of all that plastering is enough to give me a nervous tick! That's the worst job ever. I look forward to seeing finished :)
